If you are a fan of three-wheelers but don’t have much cash, then perhaps this velomobile - the bicycle car, to the layperson - is something you can consider. This velomobile is built by a company called Ekomobil and features classic great looks, but doesn’t have pricey components, not even the engine.

Measuring 2.5 metres in length and tipping the scale at only 60kg, you can opt for a 48-volt hub electric motor with 1000W output (about 1.3hp) that pushes the velomobile to a top speed of 25 mph. But if the vehicle runs out of juice, you can still rely on human power – ie. pedal - to keep it going, just like on a bicycle.

This Ekomobil 3-wheeler will cost between US$2,800 - 3,400, excluding shipping from Minsk, Belarus.
