Jaguar's New Ambassador is NOT REAL

Jaguar Land Rover’s has appointed a new brand ambassador, and it isn’t a person…it doesn’t even exist, at least not in reality. Unless you were into alternative rock a decade ago, you probably have never heard of the band Gorillaz, much less seen Noodle, one of four characters of the virtual band and new global spokes’person’ for Jaguar Racing.

The campaign is about encouraging youth to explore the field of STEM - science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We don't see the connection between that and a Japanese girl who plays lead guitar for a British virtual band, but we're keeping an open mind.

It was launched together with Jaguar's racing team debut in Formula E in Hong Kong, where the third season kicked off. It wasn’t that great a start for Jaguar, as driver Adam Carroll finished in twelfth place while teammate Mitch Evans retired halfway.
