Sometimes getting from one place to another is still a struggle. With the technology available today, it really doesn't make sense. Japan has now designed a train that can surpass 600kph. Now, cummon, that’s double the top speed of a Formula One car, yes it is!
The maglev train in Japan has set a new world record of 603kph, surpassing the previous record of 590kph. The record-breaking train went on a test run on tracks near Mount Fuji last Tuesday. The rather eye-catching train levitates 10cm above the tracks and is propelled forward by electrically-charged magnets. The hope is that the technology will span the entire country one day, letting folks travel between Tokyo and Nagoya in under an hour.
