Ford Malaysia has just debuted a chatbot on its website, which is also the first to offer Bahasa Malaysia and Simplified Chinese versions for the convenience of its visitors.

For now, the beta chatbot is available only in English and will provide customers with a convenient conversational interface. Customers can ask the bot simple questions; for example: “Where is the nearest service centre?”, “What is the number to call for assistance?” and “What is the price of the Ford Ranger XLT?”, and receive an easy-to-understand reply.

As for the website, www.sdacford.com.my, customers will be able to browse the latest models and their features, promotions and updates, book a test drive or make an appointment for service in their preferred language.

“We want to be relevant to our customers and we are certain that this approach to engage with our customers adds value to our service to go another step further. We are proud to bring our first chatbot to life to assist our customers when and where it’s personally convenient to them, setting the stage for a new customer experience to obtain information about vehicles, services, assistance, and other matters, quickly,” said Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz, Managing Director, of Sime Darby Auto Connexion, the distribution partner of Ford Motors in Malaysia.

This was my interaction with the bot earlier and I found it to be quite good. Have a go at it yourself.
