A car manufacturing plant in India suffered from a wildcat issue after a wild leopard strolled into town and caused the plant to close for almost two days.

The Maruti Suzuki plant, just outside of Delhi in Manesar, had to cease production and send the workers home, after a leopard was spotted prowling around the plant. CCTV pictures showed the animal taking a nonchalant stroll around the factory just before the early shift was due to start. Wild life rangers were called and the 1,000 or so workers were sent home whilst the wildlife officials tried to corner and tranquilize the big cat. By 3pm on the same day, the rangers had still failed to catch the leopard, so the afternoon shift was also cancelled.

Finally, on the afternoon of the second day and after production had been suspended for a day and a half, the rangers managed to dart the leopard and production was resumed at the plant that can produce more than 5,000 car per day. The leopard was inspected by a vet and, after being given a clean bill of health, released into the wild.
