Sale of the new Myvi, which was launched in November last year, is on a strong rise, with 60,000 bookings to date. The popular hatchback, which began production way back in 2005, has gained the love of Malaysians young and old.

Total number of units delivered so far are at 28,000 and with the avalanche of bookings, the carmaker is doing everything to ensure that customers get their cars as soon as possible.

“We thank our customers and the Malaysian public for their strong support of the Myvi, and we will continue to improve the delivery time for our valued customers,” said Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd MD Datuk Dr Zahari Husin.

With a host of accessories, features and great pricing, the new Myvi has taken the nation by storm. Perodua estimates its market share for the month of February to surpass 41%, with 17,100 vehicles sold—6,500 Myvis, 5,000 Axias, 3,700 Bezzas, and 1,900 Alzas—against an estimated 41,100-unit Total Industry Volume (TIV).

The automaker targets to sell 209,000 units this year – a 2% increase from the 204,900 units sold in 2017.

By the looks of things, we’re sure this mark will be attainable and we won’t be surprised if it’s surpassed.
