Tesla introduced the Autopilot feature for the Model S in October 2015 with the upgrade to its version 7.0 software. Using a combination of radar, cameras, ultrasonic sensors and data, the Model S can steer itself on highways, and change lanes and speed according to traffic. At the destination, the vehicle can look for a parking space and then parallel park at your behest. While fully driverless cars are still some years away, the Autopilot function is the closest thing to that that we’ve got now.

However, since its introduction, there’s been Model S owners who have misused the feature. The latest one to go viral takes it to a whole different level, when a driver dared to take a nap, entrusting the job of driving entirely to the Model S.

Cool or reckless? You tell us.
