HP nineT is a customised BMW bike

 

BMW challenged the Dutch custom-bike builder, High Octane Speed Shop, to create a hot, modified version of the R nineT stock BMW bike, and the finished product is a feast for the eyes. This is one of the coolest motorbikes to don the BMW badge.

The man behind this one-and-only bespoke design is Jeffry Sol, the owner of the custom shop. Sol’s fascination with motorsport began at a young age and the seventies influence is apparent in the outcome, the HP nineT café racer.

If you examine the HP nineT closely, you will notice the myriad details borrowed from old cars, bikes and planes that hail from the days of hand-worked metal. 

"If you look at classic racing cars, engines, or old warplanes, you'll see immediately how they were built for speed and functionality," he pointed out. 

True to that era, Sol fashioned most of the bodywork manually with the help of an English wheel.

It doesn’t appear that High Octane has touched the engine, except for the exposed air filter, which is a common modification on R nineT’s. If so, then the bike retains the same power output of 110hp from a 1,170cc air-cooled, flat-twin.
