The Hyundai N 2025 could only be driven through a gaming console…until the South Korean automaker built a real-life model for our sheer pleasure. The Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo gets power from a 872hp engine, which sends it through four in-wheel motors linked to a hydrogen fuel cell system. The futuristic supercar looks like the lovechild of a Le Mans car and an open-wheeler, with a hint of alien spaceship DNA.

Like other Vision GT cars in 2015 so far (for instance, the Renault Alpine and Golf GTI Supersport, to name just two), the N 2025 was designed by the in-house design team and is downloadable for the Gran Turismo 6 PlayStation game.

The reason that Hyundai decided to transform virtual into reality is because the N 2025 launches the automaker's N range of high-performance cars. “Design, quality and product value have become established as key pillars of our brand, now and we are adding the emotional characteristics of performance and driving pleasure with Hyundai N,” said Jochen Sengpiehl, Hyundai Europe’s VP of Marketing.

For the design, Hyundai was inspired by aeronautics and the Muroc Dry lake, the testing ground where pilots and astronauts conduct their training, “risking their lives for the pursuit of space travel." Such an influence the dry lake had that Hyundai also refers to the N 2025 as the “Muroc”.
