The LM2 Streamliner is supposed to be “not only an engineering tour-de-force”, according to the company’s website, but also “a masterpiece equivalent to fine art." Hmm, we’re not so sure about that. For some reason, we are thinking of the Pontiac Aztek and an alien in a bulbous amniotic sac. But, regardless of what we think of its appearance, it will be debuting at the New York Auto Show in just a few days.

Although Lyons Motor Car was only established in 2011, founder Kevin Lyons has been designing and building cars for three decades, though no one has really heard about him before this.

Just like expensive art pieces, the 1700hp (for real?!) all-wheel-drive carbon fibre HYPERCAR will fetch a hyper price of US$1.3 million to US$1.4 million, depending on the customisation required. The LM2 Streamliner will feature Brembo carbon ceramic brake rotors, Bosch ESP and ABS systems, as well as titanium and billet aluminum suspension with two damping settings - luxury and sport. It will be able to accelerate from 0-60mph in 2.2 seconds “or better”, and on to a top speed of 290mph.
