MINI Cooper vs Pacman!

The MINI Cooper will be back in the cinema again. Its last starring role was in The Italian Job in 2003; this time, four superb MINI Cooper’s will be featured in the science-fiction action comedy called Pixels, which will hit US cinema screens on 24 July.

In the movie, earth turns into a real-life video game with aliens having misinterpreted Space Invaders as a declaration of war and swiftly dispatches their oversized pixelated Pac-Man and Donkey Kong figures to various megacities in the world, where everything they touch turn into pixels.

The four MINI’s are mostly driven by actors Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Denis Akiyama and Josh Gad (Frozen) to fight the ‘bad guys’ in the movie, which will even feature the likes of Kevin James and Michelle Monaghan.

In order to save the world, the US government recruits a group of four talented old-school arcaders from the 1980s, since their knowledge of the video game characters’ strengths and weaknesses is unsurpassed.

As for the MINI Cooper S hatchbacks, they are painted the same shades as the Ghosts found in the Pac-Man game: pink, orange, red and light blue. Even the names of the Ghosts,  who are now the 'good guys', can be seen on the license plates - Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde.

Who has played Pac-Man before? I did! And it’s an interesting game. Can’t wait to watch the movie, it’s going to be awesome.
