Hennessey Dials Up the Ford-150 Raptor into the VelociRaptor

 

When you hear "Hennessey", two things come to mind: the first would be the cognac company (Hennessy) and second is the outrageous auto tuning house. Both are extremely good at what they do. The Texas tuning house recently produced the mad ass VelociRaptor, dialling up the 2017–2018 Ford Raptor Truck and pushing the 6x6 to the extreme.

First seen at SEMA show last month, this monster will set you back at least US$349,000! The guys at Hennessey gave a turbocharger upgrade to its standard 3.5-litre V6 Ecoboost F-150 Raptor mill. It spits out a massive 597bhp and 600Nm of gut-wrenching torque. The sprint of 0-60mph is done at a mind-boggling 4.9 seconds. Having already added 300kg to the total upgrade, these are insane numbers.

“Our VelociRaptor 6X6 is pure aggression on wheels—all six of them. The new 2017 Raptor is going to be one of the best all-around trucks ever built. We are excited to help take it to the next level both in terms of performance and exclusivity, ” said the founder of Hennessey Performance Engineering, John Hennessey.

The wheels measure 20 inches in diameter and are wrapped in Toyo Open County tyres. Fox provides the shocks and its three axles can be locked.

You can also add on bigger Brembo brakes, bigger wheels and tyres, and LED lighting and interior upgrades. Only 50 units will be built and we presume they will be snapped up.
