Be one with the first ever “heartbeat car” created by Lexus Australia. The Japanese automaker has taken one of its RC F V8 Coupe and gave it a biometric paintwork that reflects the driver’s pulse.
Lexus says, “We created a car to show the whole world how thrilling the Lexus RC F is to drive.” The biometric technology consists of typical sensors and heartbeat monitor that are attached to the driver’s body. The pulse reading is synced with a circuit board in the car that in turn lights up the car’s side panels, which are covered in a special paint that illuminates when electricity runs through it. This makes us think about other things that could benefit from a coat of this paint…our bedroom walls, perhaps? *wink wink nudge nudge*
