Formula E Putrajaya Postponed for Najib

Organisers of Formula E has announced that the Putrajaya ePrix has been postponed from 18 October 2014 to 22 November 2014, at the behest of the host country's Prime Minister!

Due to other commitments, Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak would not have been able to attend the race on the original date, and had requested the event to be rescheduled.

Alejandro Agag, CEO of Formula E, explained that: “The Prime Minister has been fundamental to the FIA Formula E Championship racing in Malaysia and, following lengthy consultation with the FIA and the local motorsport federation, Formula E has decided to honour the request to reschedule the Putrajaya ePrix.”

Najib must be quite the motorsports fan to do so. We never knew!
