Hyundai: The Empty Car Convoy

Google's Self-Driving Car is still a prototype for now and it will be some years before we common folks will get to drive it. So, let’s see what we can get in the real-world right now.

We're actually quite impressed with the 2015 Hyundai Genesis which was awarded the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) Top SafetyPick+, making it the first ever rear-wheel drive luxury sedan to earn the Institute’s highest safety rating. The Genesis features Advanced Smart Cruise Control Lane Keeping Assist System and Auto Emergency Braking, showcased in this rather dramatic advertisement:

Yes, this is just an ad, but it is a clever demonstration of autonomous driving, albeit performing less complex functions than the Google car. However, this is what we can attain long before we can get Google's version.
