Guest writer, SUE, finds another useful feature in the oddly named, Kuga.

I am a reality show addict and not ashamed to admit it. I will watch any reality show for a couple of reasons, amongst them are: to find out whether it is really a non-scripted show, and to discover the Grand Prize.

A new cooking competition reality show which I’ve just watched last Sunday has gifted its winner with a car - a Ford Kuga, to be exact. I had to replay the section where "Kuga" was mentioned because, honestly, it sounds weird and I’ve not heard it before, obviously. What impressed me about the Ford Kuga is when the winner just airily kicked the car just under the boot, voila! the tailgate slowly glide open. I thought that was too cool.

You’re not going to read about any technical specs on this car from me, no siree. What I want to point out here is how this feature affects me.

Again, I think it’s awesome because I’ve been in this situation many times – carrying my purse, mobile phone and many purchases (have I mentioned that I am a shopaholic too?) and being unable to manage anything else with my hands.
Of course, I’d always have my car keys ready before I stepped into the car park (for obvious security reasons, and especially if you’re female) but I still find it hard to unlock the car and open the boot, while balancing the armful of items. With this kick-activated tailgate feature, I can effortlessly stuff my purchases into the boot. The tailgate even closes on its own, activated the same way to open it.

Some would ask, "Why not use a shopping cart to carry your stuff to the car?" (you know who you are) but it would be awkward to push a shopping cart from store to store inside the mall.

Now, why didn’t I think of this when I wrote my earlier article, Awesome Girly Gadgets & Tech We’d Love For Our Cars.

Enjoy this video because I surely did. It is a shame that they did not have a female actor in their promo video.
